REPS, April 2008

The shoot for this cover was the day after the IFBB Australian championships where I placed a close 2nd. Wil the REPS art director and photographer Alex Ardenti got to the comp just before the finals and actually came backstage to make sure I was looking good for the shoot the next day lol But it was good to see their pleased faces. They did say not to eat too much so I didn't lose my condition though. They'd flown all the way from the US so wanted everything right.

It was a long day, I was already tired from the comp the day before but it was all business. Firstly it was in the gym trying to lift the biggest bloody weights in the gym so the shots looked good. Then after about 6hrs of this we headed to the beach, I cheated on the way and bought a thick shake. Man did it taste good, best thick shake I'd ever had. I was still dehydrated to keep my condition but figured I couldn't change much now with only a couple of hours to go. I think if I didn't have that shake I wouldn't have made it, I was really absolutely stuffed. As soon as I hit the water I knew we'd have a good shot. I just always seem to look better in water. Well the cover was from one of the shots in the water. This is definitely one of my favourite covers. It was a hard days work, started at about 9am and finished at about 6pm. I ate big that night ;)

When it comes to covers it doesn't matter how hard it is, how tiring, how tedious or how painful it is, it's always worth it!!!
